Front Passenger Front Airbag Crash Sensor G284, USA

• The passenger front airbag crash sensor (G284) is located on the right side of the lock carrier.

Removing

The general safety precautions for working on airbag, belt tensioner and battery cut-out units (pyrotechnic components) must be observed. Refer to => [ Airbag, Belt Tensioner and Battery Cut-Out Units General Safety Precautions ] Airbag, Belt Tensioner and Battery Cut-Out Units General Safety Precautions.

- Disconnect the battery.

- Release the connector lock and disconnect the connector - 1 - from the front passenger front airbag crash sensor (G284) - 3 -.






- Remove the bolt - 2 - (4.5 Nm) and the front passenger front airbag crash sensor (G284) - 3 -.

Installation

- Install the driver front airbag crash sensor (G283) - 3 -. The tab - arrow A - must fit into the hole - arrow B -.






• This assures the driver front airbag crash sensor (G283) will be installed correctly.

- Install the bolt - 2 - and tighten it to 4.5 Nm.

- Connect the connector - 1 - and lock it.

- Turn on the ignition.

Make sure no one is in the vehicle.

- Connect the battery.
