Sun Shade

Removing

- Open the glass panel for the panorama sliding/tilting sunroof all the way.

- Open the sun shade all the way (slide in towards the rear).

- Remove headliner..

- Remove the cover for the sun shade. Refer to => [ Sun Shade Cover ] Sun Shade Cover.

- Remove the crossbrace. Refer to => [ Crossbrace ] Crossbrace.

- Remove the left and right bolts - 1 - from the sun shade - 2 - mount.






- Pull the rear left and right sun shade mount - 2 - downward - arrow a - and evenly toward the rear and remove from the guide rails - arrow b -.

- Pull the sun shade on the handle downward and remove it as far as possible toward the rear off the guide rails.

• The sun shade must be moved toward the rear until the yoke for the material is no longer in the guide rails.

- Press the sun shade glide - 1 - on the right side into the rail - arrow a -.






- Tilt the sun shade - 2 - downward evenly on the right side - arrow b -.

- Finally, remove the sun shade downward - arrow c -.

Installing






- Attach the left sun shade glide - 1 - for the sun shade to the guide rail - 2 -. The yoke - 3 - for the material for the sun shade must lie behind the guide rails - 2 -.

- Press the right sun shade glide - 4 - into the rail - arrow -.

- Insert the right sun shade glide into the guide rail - 5 - at the same time. The yoke for the material for the sun shade must lie behind the guide rails.






- Slide the yoke - 2 - for the material for the left and right sun shade - 1 - into the guide rails - 3 - - arrow a -.

- Note the correct upper - arrow b - and lower - arrow c - brackets for the yoke.

• The sun shade glide was not shown in the illustration for clarity purposes.

- Carefully slide the sun shade glide slightly toward the front. Make sure that the sun shade material is guided into the correct position in the guide rails.

- Install the left and right bolts - 1 - for the sun shade - 2 - mount.






Bolt - 1 - tightening specification: 2.5 Nm.

- Install the cross brace. Refer to => [ Crossbrace ] Crossbrace.

- Install the sun shade cover. Refer to => [ Sun Shade Cover ] Sun Shade Cover.

- Install headliner..
