Upper B-Pillar Trim







Upper B-Pillar Trim

Removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle is described here. Removing and installing on the right side is identical.

Removing

- Remove the cover - 1 - with the trim removal wedge (3409).






- Remove the bolt - 1 - (2 Nm).






- Remove the cap - 2 - and remove the retaining loop - 3 -.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - (2 Nm).











- Loosen the trim from the door seal molding.

- Remove the trim panel - 1 - from the side trim panel - arrows -.

- Remove the trim panel - 1 - from the side B-pillar mounting - 2 -.

- Remove the trim - 1 - from the upper mount.

- Remove side trim. Refer to => [ Side Trim ] Side Trim.

- Remove the sill panel strip. Refer to => [ Sill Panel ] Service and Repair.

- Fold the carpet on its side and remove the bolts - 1 - (20 Nm).






- Remove the belt - 2 - from the bracket - 3 -.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - (40 Nm) and remove belt - 2 - and belt relay.






- Remove the bolts - 1 - (4.5 Nm) and the belt relay - 2 -.






- Remove the seat belt from the belt relay.

- Thread the seat belt through the opening in the trim panel.

Installation

Check all the fasteners for damage and replace if necessary before installing. Replace any damaged components.

Make sure the trim panel is installed inside the door seal.

- Install in reverse order of removal.
