Door Strap

• The following describes removing and installing the left door strap only. Removing and installing the right door strap is identical.

Removing






- Remove the front door trim.

- Remove the riveted speaker.

- Remove the bolt - 2 - from the A-pillar.

- Remove the bolts - 3 - and remove the door strap - 1 - through the opening for the speaker.

Installation






• Make sure that the door strap for the left and right doors are the same, and in their installed position only.

• Observe the markings - arrow a - and - arrow b - on the protective casing - 4 -.

• The "upper left" markings - arrow a - on the left door face upward.

• The "top right" markings - arrow b - for the right door must face upward.

Install in reverse order of removal.

Bolt - 2 - tightening specification: 30 Nm.

Tightening specification - 3 -: 9 Nm
