1 Cover Plate

2 Wheel Hub with Wheel Bearing

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Unit ] Wheel Bearing Unit.

Sensor ring for ABS is installed in wheel hub.

Various versions.

For the correct allocation, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

3 Bolt

200 Nm + 90° turn

Loosening and tightening, refer to => [ Drive Axle Twelve-Point Bolt, Loosening and Tightening ] Service and Repair.

Always replace if removed.

4 Bolt

12 Nm

5 Bolt

8 Nm

6 Left Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (G47) / Right Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (G45)

Before inserting wheel speed sensor, clean inner surface of bore hole and coat with securing grease (G 000 650).

7 Bolt

70 Nm + 90° turn

Always replace if removed.

Vehicle must not be sitting on the wheels when tightening or loosening.

8 Drive Axle

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Drive Axle with CV Joint ] Drive Axle with CV Joint.

9 Wheel Bearing Housing

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.

With integrated brake carrier.

If the wheel bearing housing must be replaced, alignment must be checked afterwards. Refer to => [ Wheel Alignment, Vehicles with Torsion Beam Rear Suspension ] Wheel Alignment, Vehicles with Torsion Beam Rear Suspension or => [ Wheel Alignment, Vehicles with Multi-Link Rear Suspension ] Wheel Alignment, Vehicles with Multi-Link Rear Suspension.

10 Wheel Bearing Housing

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.

With bolted brake carrier.

If the wheel bearing housing must be replaced, alignment must be checked afterwards. Refer to => [ Wheel Alignment, Vehicles with Torsion Beam Rear Suspension ] Wheel Alignment, Vehicles with Torsion Beam Rear Suspension or => [ Wheel Alignment, Vehicles with Multi-Link Rear Suspension ] Wheel Alignment, Vehicles with Multi-Link Rear Suspension.
