Headliner, Loosening and Securing

Detachment

- If equipped, open the panorama sliding/tilting sunroof and the sun shade.

- Turn off the ignition.

Vehicles with Interior Mirror and Rain Sensor

- Remove the interior rearview mirror and the cable guide, refer to => [ Interior Rearview Mirror ] Interior Rearview Mirror.

Procedure for All Vehicles

- Remove the lamps and switches from the headliner.

- Remove the A-pillar left and right upper trim. Refer to => [ Upper A-Pillar Trim ] Upper A-Pillar Trim.

- Loosen the left and right B-pillar upper trim. Refer to => [ B-Pillar Trim, Detaching and Attaching ] B-Pillar Trim, Detaching and Attaching.

- Remove the left and right C-pillar trim. Refer to => [ C-pillar Trim ] C-pillar Trim.

- Remove the left and right sun visors with sun visor mounts. Refer to => [ Sun Visor ] Sun Visor.

- Remove the left and right grab handles (roof). Refer to => [ Roof Grab Handles ] Roof Grab Handles.






- Carefully loosen the clips - 4 - from the rear roof crossmember - 3 -.

- Unhook the clips - 5 - from the front roof crossmember - 2 -.

• The outer mounting tabs for the retaining clips - 5 - are destroyed when installed. Secure the roof frame with the sun visor mount bolts when installing.

• Always replace the clips - 5 -.

- Fold the driver seat and front passenger seat backrests toward the front.

- Loosen the headliner- 1 - from the door seal molding and then lower it.

Vehicles with Panorama Sliding/Tilting Sunroof






- Slide wedge (T10039/1) between frame - 6 - and headliner - 1 -.

- Disconnect the front and side frames - 6 - from the headliner - 1 - using the release lever (T10039).

- Close the sun shade.

- Disconnect the rear frames - 6 - from the headliner - 1 - using the release lever (T10039).

- Carefully loosen the clips - 4 - from the rear roof crossmember - 3 -.

- Unhook the clips - 5 - from the front roof crossmember - 2 -.

• The outer mounting tabs for the retaining clips - 5 - are destroyed when installed. Secure the roof frame with the sun visor mount bolts when installing.

• Always replace the clips - 5 -.

- Fold the driver seat and front passenger seat backrests toward the front.

- Loosen the headliner- 1 - from the door seal molding and then lower it.

Mounting

- Install in reverse order of removal.

• Check all the fasteners for damage and replace if necessary before installing. Replace any damaged components.
