Rear Bumper Cover







Rear Bumper Cover

Slight changes may have to be made to removal and installation procedures of rear bumper cover, depending upon equipment installed in vehicle.

Removing






- Remove the expanding rivets - 3 - from below.

- Remove the left and right bolt - 2 - from underneath as well as the bolts - 4 - in the wheel housing.

- Remove the expanding rivets - 5 - upward in the left and right wheel housing.

- Remove the left and right tail lamps. .

- Remove the bolt - 6 - under the left and right tail lamps.

A second technician is required for the rest of the removal procedure.

- Remove the rear bumper cover - 1 - from the striker pin on the left and right guide - 7 - - arrows a -.

- Release the striker pins on the left and right guide near the tail lamps - arrows b -.

- Remove the rear bumper cover - 1 - - arrows c - from the vehicle. A second technician is needed for this.

- Disconnect the connectors from any electrical components.

Installing






- Disconnect the connectors from any electrical components.

- Slide the rear bumper cover - 1 - parallel onto the guides on the vehicle until the rear bumper cover- 1 - on the left and right guide - 7 - engages near the tail lamps - arrows b -.

- Install the rear bumper cover - 1 - onto the left and right guides until it locks.

- Pay attention to the parallel alignment and the gap dimensions.

- Install the bolt - 6 - under the left and right tail lamps and tighten them.

Bolt - 6 - tightening specification: 2 Nm.

- Install the left and right tail lamps. .

- Install the upward standing expanding rivets - 5 - in the left and right wheel housing.

- Install the left and right bolts - 2 - from below as well as the bolt - 4 - in the wheel housing and tighten them.

Bolt - 2 - and - 4 - tightening specification: 2 Nm

- Install the expanding rivets - 3 - from below.
