Front Door Lamps and Switches

Driver Switch Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

• Release Lever (T10039)

The following switches are on the driver side:

• Left Front Window Regulator Switch (E40)

• Driver Left Rear Window Regulator Switch (E53)

• Driver Right Rear Window Regulator Switch (E55)

• Driver Right Front Window Regulator Switch (E81)

• Child Safety Button (E318)

• Push Button Light (L76)

Removal

When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (plastic wedge, screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the trim in the driver door - 1 -, starting at the back, from the door trim panel. Pay attention to the wires still connected.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Release the 3 retainers - arrows - on the front side and rear side, and remove the driver side shift element - 2 - from its installation frame.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.
