The general safety precautions for working on airbag, belt tensioner and battery cut-out units (pyrotechnic components) must be observed.

Removing

- Disconnect the vehicle battery.

- Remove the bolt - 3 - (8 Nm).

- Release the connector lock and disconnect the connector - 1 - from the driver front airbag crash sensor (G283) - 2 -.






Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

- Switch the ignition on.

Make sure that no persons are in the vehicle.

- Connect the vehicle battery.
