Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve, Checking

• Follow the guidelines for a clean working environment when working on the fuel system. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions and Fuel System Work Instructions ] Clean Working Conditions and Fuel System Work Instructions.

• Always follow these rules before and during work.

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Engine Cover.

- Disconnect the fuel return line - 1 -.






- Seal the open return line- 1 - connection with a plug.






- Attach a hose to the open return line connection - 2 -.

- Hold this hose - 2 - in a suitable container in order to measure the return quantity.

- Perform the test at starter speed.

• Specified value: the return quantity is 0 ml while the starter is cranking.

If the specified value is not attained, then the fuel pressure regulator valve is faulty.
