Oxygen Sensor 1 before Catalytic Converter GX10

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Ring Spanner 7-Piece Set (3337)

Removing

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Engine Cover.

- Remove the connector - 2 - from the bracket and disconnect it.






- Free up the wiring guide to the oxygen sensor 1 before catalytic converter.

- Unscrew and remove the oxygen sensor 1 before catalytic converter - 5 - using the ring spanner 7-piece set (3337).






Installing

• For the correct tightening specification, refer to => [ Exhaust Sensor Overview ] Exhaust Sensor Overview.

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Coat the new oxygen sensor with an assembly paste. This paste must not come into contact with the sensor slots.

• On a used oxygen sensor, only the threads may be coated with hot bolt paste. Refer to the Parts Catalog. This paste must not come into contact with the sensor slots.

• Always install the oxygen sensor wire in the same location so it does not come into contact with the exhaust pipe.
