Removing






- Remove the bolts - 5 -.

- Remove bracket - 4 -.

- Remove bumper cover. Refer to => [ Rear Bumper Cover ] Rear Bumper Cover.

- Disconnect the electrical connector leading to the vehicle.

- Remove the bolts - 2 -.

- Pull the trailer hitch - 1 - evenly.


Bolts - 2 - must always be replaced after loosening.

Installation






To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

- Install the trailer hitch - 1 -.

- Tightening specification for bolts - 2 -: 50 Nm + rotate an additional 90°.

- Install the bumper cover. Refer to => [ Rear Bumper Cover ] Rear Bumper Cover

- Install the bracket - 4 -.

- Screw tightening specification - 5 -: 80 Nm.


Bolts - 3 - are sealing threaded connections and seal the interior from exhaust gases and must be installed in any case.

- Make sure the bolts - 3 - fit securely.

- Screw tightening specification - 3 -: 20 Nm.
