Transmission Fluid Level, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

For the correct transmission fluid, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove the plug - arrow -.






The level is correct when the transmission fluid comes up to the bottom edge of the hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new seal and then tighten it to 45 Nm.

Note the following when filling for the first time:

- Remove the plug - arrow -.

- Add transmission fluid until it reaches the lower edge of the hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new seal and then tighten it to 45 Nm.

- If equipped, install the noise insulation to the transmission.

- Install the noise insulation below the engine/transmission.
