Hydraulic Hose: Service and Repair






Clutch Mechanism Line

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

Removing

- Remove the air filter housing.

- Remove the battery and the battery tray.

For removing the battery and battery tray.

While performing the following work, make sure no brake fluid comes into contact with the longitudinal member or with the transmission below. If it does, clean the area thoroughly.

- Clamp off the supply hose to the master cylinder using the hose clamp up to 25 mm dia. (3094).






Remove the line - 1 - from the clutch master cylinder as follows:

- Pull out the clip - 3 - with a screwdriver and remove the line - 1 - and O-ring - 2 -.







Do not press the clutch pedal after removing the line.

Remove the line - 4 - from the breather assembly - 1 - as follows:

- Remove the clip - 2 - with a screwdriver or a pointed tool and remove the line - 4 - with O-ring - 3 - from the breather assembly - 1 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Press in the hose/line assembly or line - 1 - with new O-ring - 2 - on the master cylinder connection - 4 - until the clip - 3 - engages.






- Pull on the line to make sure it is tight.

- Press the line with O-ring - 3 - into the breather assembly until the secure clip engages.






- Pull on the line to make sure it is tight.

- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to => [ Clutch System, Bleeding ] Clutch System, Bleeding.

- Install the battery tray and the battery.

- Install the air filter housing.
