Ultrasonic Sensor: Service and Repair

Interior Monitoring Sensor (G273) and Vehicle Inclination Sensor (G384), From 06.08

From 06.08 the interior monitoring sensor and the vehicle inclination sensor are in a single component in the roof console behind the interior lamp.

• The anti-theft alarm system must be deactivated to remove the interior monitoring sensors and the vehicle inclination sensor.

Removing

- Deactivate anti-theft warning system. Refer to => [ Anti-Theft Alarm System, Activating and Deactivating ] Anti-Theft Alarm System, Activating and Deactivating.

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the front interior and map/reading lights. Refer to => [ Front Interior and Reading Lamps ] Front Interior and Reading Lamps.

- Unclip the control module and vehicle inclination sensor. While doing this, press the tabs in - direction of arrow -.






- Unclip the sensors - 1 -. Remove the cable from the cable guide. Remove the control module for the interior monitoring with the vehicle inclination sensor and the sensors for the interior monitoring from the interior lamp.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
