Engine Start - Stop System Switch Stuck
On vehicles with keyless entry, the button for engine start-stop switch -E378- is stuck.
Deviation in switch dimensions along with molding flash on the storage box incorrect or incorrect cable routing.

Service
Align position of wiring and replace start-stop switch.
^ Remove the storage box/ashtray. See Repair Manual Group 96 Interior Lights, Switches. Check the cable routing.
The wiring loom must not be trapped (illustration 1) between center console and storage box.
^ Check wiring loom, loom must not be twisted.
^ Remove the switch for the starting system -E378-. See Repair Manual Group 96 Interior Lights, Switches.
^ Check the storage box for molding flash (illustration 2, red arrows). Carefully remove any molding flash.
^ Replace the start-stop switch for keyless entry system (5C7.959.839.A) and install the storage box. See Repair Manual Group 96 Interior Lights, Switches.
