Removal and Replacement






Lower Control Arm Bracket Bushing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Guide Pin (VW 439)

Thrust Plate (VW 401)

Thrust Plate (VW 402)

Tube Trans. Drive Shaft (VW 426)

Removing

The bonded rubber bushing is available only with the bracket.

- Press the bracket with the bonded rubber bushing off the control arm.

Hold the control arm firmly while pressing it out.

Installing

- Thinly coat the control arm hex head with assembly lubricant (G 294 421 A1) (1:20).

- Carefully press the bushing (with bracket) onto the control arm until seated.
