Service
Tip:
Allow vehicle to warm to room temperature before beginning repair. Care must be taken not to damage interior trim or trim retaining fasteners upon removal.
^ Remove the left and right side trim, see Repair Manual Group 70 in ElsaWeb.
Tip:
The noises are caused by tension and minor relative movement between the welding flanges. Noises occur mainly at higher temperatures. To repair the noises, relieve tension between the welding flanges and welding points with a prying tool (illustration 2) and spray all the contact surfaces of the connection with the universal oil spray Part No. G000115A2.
The universal oil spray (Part No: G 000 115 A2) should have at least room temperature (20°C). Before use, shake the spray can about 5 times, otherwise the spray will foam, which reduces its lubrication.
^ In the area of the source of the noise relieve panel 2 from panels 3 and 1 with a prying tool (for example screwdriver). Illustration 2 shows the left vehicle side.
^ Protect interior carpet before next step.
^ Spray the area with oil spray Part No. G000115A2. Use the opening (marked area illustration 1) between the panels.
^ Wipe off residual lubricant and repeat procedure on the other side.
