Fluid Pan: Service and Repair






Oil Pan

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Drip Tray (V.A.G 1306)

Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation for the transmission.

- Place the (V.A.G 1306) underneath.

- Remove the oil pan drain plug - 1 -.





- Drain the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).

- Loosen the oil pan bolts - 2 - in a diagonal pattern and remove the oil pan.

Installing

- Clean all magnets in the oil pan depressions. Ensure that the magnets are in full contact with the oil pan.

- Install the oil pan with a new gasket - 1 -.





- Make sure that all sleeves - 2 - are located completely in the new gasket - 1 -.

- Tighten the oil pan bolts in a diagonal sequence and in stages.

Replace the drain plug seal.

- Tighten the oil drain plug.

- After installation, fill with ATF, check the ATF level, and top off if necessary. Refer to => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling ] Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling.
