Upper Coolant Pipe

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.

- Remove the oil cooler. Refer to => [ Oil Cooler, Pressure Regulator Valve and Oil Filter Housing Overview ] Description and Operation.

- Remove the coolant hose; do to so, loosen the hose clamp - 2 -.





• Ignore - item 1 - and the - arrow -.

- Remove the upper coolant pipe from the cylinder block.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Replace the O-ring.

• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model, refer to the parts catalog.

- Clean and/or smooth the sealing surfaces of the O-rings.

- Lubricate the O-ring with coolant and slide it onto the coolant pipe.

- Install the oil cooler. Refer to => [ Oil Cooler, Pressure Regulator Valve and Oil Filter Housing Overview ] Description and Operation.

- Fill the cooling system. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.
