Left Rear Coolant Pipe on Exhaust Gas Recirculation Auxiliary Cooler
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Hose Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1921)
Removing
- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.
- Remove the bolt - 1 -.
- Remove the left rear coolant pipe from the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) auxiliary cooler.
- Loosen the clamp - arrow - and remove the left rear coolant hose.
Installing
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pipes Overview ] Description and Operation.
• Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type, refer to the parts catalog.
- Clean and/or smooth the sealing surfaces of the O-rings.
- Lubricate the O-ring with coolant and slide it onto the coolant pipe.
- Fill the cooling. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.
