Left Rear Coolant Pipe

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1921)

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.

- Remove the left intermediate exhaust pipe. Refer to => [ Left Intermediate Pipe ] Left Intermediate Pipe.

- Remove the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler switch over valve 2 (N381) - 3 -.





- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Remove the left rear coolant pipe from the coolant hoses by loosening the hose clamps - 1 and 2 -.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pipes Overview ] Description and Operation.

• Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type, refer to the parts catalog.

- Install the left intermediate exhaust pipe. Refer to => [ Left Intermediate Pipe ] Left Intermediate Pipe.

- Fill the cooling system. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.
