Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing






Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing

The clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing are a single unit and are replaced together.

Removing

- Remove the transmission. Refer to => [ Transmission, Removing ] Transmission, Removing.

- Open the clip - 2 - with a screwdriver and remove the breather assembly - 4 - from the clutch slave cylinder - 1 -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing - A -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Slave cylinder bolts may only be tightened in small increments.

Otherwise, there is danger that the bolt hole tabs could break off.

- Tighten the slave cylinder with release bearing bolts, see - item 4 - in => [ Clutch Release Mechanism Overview ] Clutch Release Mechanism Overview.

- Check the O-ring - 3 - on the clutch slave cylinder.






- Install the breather assembly - 4 - on the connection on the clutch slave cylinder - 1 - until the clip - 2 - clicks into the place.

- To check, pull on the breather assembly.

- Install the transmission. Refer to => [ Transmission, Removing ] Transmission, Removing.

- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to => [ Clutch System, Bleeding ] Clutch System, Bleeding.
