Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Make sure the centering sleeves are pressed into the engine flange. Refer to => [ Tightening Specifications ] Tightening Specifications.

Make sure the torque converter is installed correctly. It must be easy turn easily by hand and the entire circumference must be equally deep inside the transmission.

Carefully rotate the engine further!

Be careful of the engine when guiding the transmission onto the engine. Hold the starter ring gear steady from the outside with a screwdriver. When installing, studs are located in the bores of the rive plate.

The engine and the transmission must be secured to the mounts free of tension.

- Make sure the bolts are in their old position when tightening the transmission mount/bracket bolts. Tightening specification, refer to => [ Tightening Specifications ] Tightening Specifications.

- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting ] Adjustments.

- Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling ] Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling.

- Perform a basic setting. Connect the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051) and then select "perform basic setting" in Guided Functions.
