Adaptive Chassis DCC Components and Installation Locations


The body acceleration sensors may not be interchanged with each other.






1 Dampening Adjustment Button (E387)

Component location: in front of the selector lever in the center console

2 Shock Absorber with Right Rear Dampening Adjustment Valve (N339)

Removing and installing, FWD, refer to => [ Rear Shock Absorber, FWD ] Rear Shock Absorber, FWD.

Removing and installing, AWD, refer to => [ Rear Shock Absorber, AWD ] .

3 Rear Body Acceleration Sensor (G343)

Component location: on the rear left shock absorber mount

Removing and installing, FWD, refer to => [ Rear Body Acceleration Sensor, FWD ] Rear Body Acceleration Sensor, FWD

Removing and installing, AWD, refer to => [ Rear Body Acceleration Sensor, AWD ]

4 Electronic Damping Control Module (J250)

Component location: behind the left side luggage compartment trim panel

Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Electronic Damping Control Module (J250) ] Service and Repair

if the electronic damping control module (J250) was replaced, then a basic setting to the adaptive chassis DCC must be performed. Refer to => [ Adaptive Chassis DCC, Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection

5 Shock absorber with Left Rear Dampening Adjustment Valve (N338)

Removing and installing, FWD, refer to => [ Rear Shock Absorber, FWD ] Rear Shock Absorber, FWD

Removing and installing, AWD, refer to => [ Rear Shock Absorber, AWD ]

6 Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76)

Removing and installing, FWD, refer to => [ Left Rear Level Control System Sensor, FWD ] Left Rear Level Control System Sensor, FWD.

Removing and installing, AWD, refer to => [ Left Rear Level Control System Sensor, AWD ] .

If the left rear level control system sensor was removed and then installed, then a basic setting to the adaptive chassis must be performed. Refer to => [ Adaptive Chassis DCC, Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection.

Headlamps basic setting performed using Vehicle Diagnosis Tester in Guided Fault Finding.

7 Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor (G341)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor ] Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor

8 Shock Absorber with Left Front Dampening Adjustment Valve (N336)

Suspension strut, removal and installation, refer to => [ Front Suspension Strut ] Front Suspension Strut.

9 Left Front Level Control System Sensor (G78) and Right Front Level Control Sensor (G289)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left and Right Front Level Control System Sensors ] Left and Right Front Level Control System Sensors.

If the sensor was removed and installed, then a basic setting to the adaptive chassis DCC must be performed. Refer to => [ Adaptive Chassis DCC, Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection

Headlamps basic setting performed using Vehicle Diagnosis Tester in Guided Fault Finding.

10 Shock Absorber with Right Front Dampening Adjustment Valve (N337)

11 Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor (G342)
