General Repair Information

• Hose connections are secured with either spring type or clamp type clips.

• Always replace clamp type clips with spring type clips.

• Fuel hoses at the engine must only be secured with spring type clips. The use of clamp or screw type clips is not permissible.

• The hose clamp pliers (VAG 1921) or hose clamp pliers (VAS 6340) are recommended for installing spring clamps.

• Use the fuel extracting device (VAS 5091) to empty the fuel tank.
