Warning Lamp Symbols In Instrument Panel Insert

• There are different instrument clusters depending on the vehicle equipment level. Therefore the location of the indicator lamps and analog displays may differ from the illustration.

• The number of indicator lamps inside the instrument cluster depends on the vehicle equipment level and which engine the vehicle has.

• Some indicator lamps depend on the vehicle equipment level.

• For an explanation of the all the warning and indicator lamps, refer to the vehicle Owner's Manual.





1 Trailer Operation Indicator Lamp (K18)

• Trailer towing turn signal system switched on

2 Oil Pressure Warning Lamp (K3)/oil level indicator lamp (K38)

• Red: oil pressure indicator lamp (K3)

• Yellow:oil level indicator lamp (K38), warning when the oil level is too low, refer to => [ Instrument Cluster ] Service and Repair

3 Generator Warning Lamp (K2)

• If it comes on while driving: The Generator (C ) is faulty or the Battery (A) is not being charged.

4 ASR/ESP Indicator Lamp (K155)

• "Comes on": for approximately 2 seconds when turning on the ignition as a function check.

• "Comes on": there is a malfunction in the ESP or the system is switched off.

• "Blinks": the ESP is working while the vehicle is moving

5 Left Turn Signal Indicator Light (K65)

• Turn signals switched on

6 Glow Plug Indicator Lamp (K29)/Electronic Power Control Warning Lamp (K132)

• Diesel engines: Glow Plug Indicator Lamp (K29) comes on as long as the preglow system is working. It will blink if there is an engine malfunction.

• Gasoline engines: Electronic Power Control Warning Lamp (K132). Comes on as a function check when turning on the ignition

7 High Beam Indicator Lamp (K1)

• Comes on when the high beams are switched on



8 Anti-Theft Immobilizer Warning Lamp (K117)

• Comes on when an unauthorized key is detected

9 Right Turn Signal Indicator Lamp (K94)

• Turn signals switched on

10 Parking Brake Indicator Light (K14)

• Comes on when the parking brake is pulled.

• Comes on when the brake fluid level is too low.

• Comes on when there is a malfunction in the brake system.

11 Engine Coolant Level/Temperature Warning Lamp ( K28)

• Comes on when the coolant level is too low or the coolant temperature is too high.

12 ABS Indicator Lamp (K47)

Malfunction in the ABS system.

13 Safety Belt Warning Light (K19)

• Airbag or safety belt tensioner system faulty.

14 Rear Fog Light Indicator Light (K13)

Comes on when the fog lamp is switched

15 Rear Lid Unlocked Warning Lamp (K116)

• Comes on when the ignition is turned on: the rear lid is open.

16 Brake System Warning Light (K118)

• Comes on when the brake pads have reached their wear limit.

17 Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp (K105)

• Comes on only when the fuel tank contains the reserve quantity.

18 Rear Spoiler Indicator Lamp

• Comes on when the rear spoiler was extended "manually".

• Comes on if there is a malfunction in the rear spoiler system.

19 Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (K75)

• Airbag malfunction.

20 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K83)

• Monitors the exhaust system.
