CAUTION!
Prior to working on the electrical system: disconnect the battery ground cable.

Removal





• Due to equipment variations, small deviations must be considered during removal and installation.

• Obtain the radio code before disconnecting the battery.

- Remove the ashtray -=> [ (Item 26) Ashtray ] Center Console Assembly Overview- and beverage holder -=> [ (Item 27) Beverage Holder ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Lift up parking brake lever, disengage trim using a screwdriver and pull off from parking brake lever toward front - arrow -.





- Disengage boot - 1 - of selector lever at center console and push upward.





- Only if necessary for the continuing work sequence, remove clamp - 2 - and remove shift knob with boot.

• Install the clamp.





- Remove the cover -=> [ (Item 8) Cover ] Center Console Assembly Overview- and disconnect the cigarette lighter harness connector -=> [ (Item 7) Cigarette Lighter ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Remove the storage compartment -=> [ (Item 11) Storage Compartment ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Remove bolts -=> [ (Item 25) Bolt ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Pull off the cover -=> [ (Item 23) Cover ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Remove bolts -=> [ (Item 22) Bolt ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Unclip the upper cover -=> [ (Item 21) Cover ] Center Console Assembly Overview- and pull out in an upward direction.

- Unclip the caps -=> [ (Item 3) Cover ] Center Console Assembly Overview- and unscrew the screws -=> [ (Item 2) Bolt ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Remove bolts -=> [ (Item 13) Bolt ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Unclip the front cover -=> [ (Item 9) Cover ] Center Console Assembly Overview- and remove in an upward direction.

- Remove bolts -=> [ (Item 29) Bolt ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Unscrew the nut -=> [ (Item 30) Nut ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Remove the armrest -=> [ (Item 20) Armrest ] Center Console Assembly Overview- in an upward direction.

- Remove the screws -=> [ (Item 4) Bolt ] Center Console Assembly Overview- and -=> [ (Item 31) Bolt ] Center Console Assembly Overview-.

- Lift the center console -=> [ (Item 1) Center Console ] Center Console Assembly Overview- at the rear, pull backward and remove upward over the shift lever.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

• After connecting battery, vehicle options (radio, clock, electric window regulator) must be checked according to repair information and/or user manual.
