Side Trim

Removal

- Remove the bench seat and the backrest.

- Remove bolt - 9 - or nut - 10 - respectively.

- Remove trim - 3 - in the area of clips - 5 - and - 6 - and carefully remove in an upward direction.

- Guide front seat belt - 1 - and rear seat belt - 7 - through.





Only for convertibles with power convertible top, large roof lid, and lid servomotor

- Disconnect connections - 1 - of servomotor - 2 -.





Continuation for all convertible tops:

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 5 - from speaker - 6 -.





- Disconnect release - 3 - from ball stud - 1 -.

- Pry off spring clips - 2 - and remove release - 3 - from retaining plate - 4 -.

- Remove the front seat belt anchor.

- Unclip cover - 2 - and guide seat belt - 1 - through the opening.

- Remove the rear seat belt anchor.

- Unclip cover - 8 - and guide seat belt - 7 - through the opening.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

• Before installing trim - 3 -, check clips - 5 - and - 6 - and replace if necessary.

• Install the release so that it is free of play.

• After assembling the trim, make sure the inner door seal is properly fitted.
