Battery with Visual Indicator, Checking

CAUTION!

CAUTION!
In order to prevent damage to the battery or vehicle, observe battery type descriptions and notes => [ AGM Battery ] AGM Battery.

Check the battery in the following sequence

- Visual inspection, refer to => [ Inspecting ] Inspecting.

- Check the color in the visual indicator 3 colors refer to => [ Battery with Visual Indicator Three-Color Display, through 03.08, Checking ] or 2 colors refer to => [ Battery with Visual Indicator Two-Color Display, from 04.08, Checking ].

CAUTION!
Do not check or charge a battery when the visual indicator has no color or is bright yellow. Jump starting must not be used!

There is a risk of explosion during testing, charging or jump starting.

The battery must be replaced.

- Battery load test with

Battery Tester (VAS 6161), refer to=> [ Battery Tester VAS 6161 ] Battery Tester VAS 6161.

- Depending on the result of the load test, perform current draw test, refer to=> [ Current Draw Test ] Current Draw Test.
