Brake Pad Thickness and Front and Rear Brake Rotor Condition, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)






• Flashlight and mirror

Perform the following:

The adapter to loosen/tighten the anti-theft wheel bolts is located in the vehicle tool kit.

Brake Discs, Checking Condition

Check all brake rotors for the following:

• Cracks

• Scoring

• Rust

• Wear on the edge of the brake disc

• Inform the customer if any damage is found on the brake rotor that looks like these illustrations. Replacing a brake disc is a repair.
