Lumbar Support Frame, Manual, Jetta from MY 2010 and Golf Wagon from MY 2010

The following describes removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle. Removing and installing on the right side is identical.

Removing

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Remove the front seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] Front Seat

- Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove front right seat trim. Refer to => [ Right Seat Trim ] Right Seat Trim

- Remove front left seat trim. Refer to => [ Left Seat Trim ] Left Seat Trim

- Remove front seat backrest. Refer to => [ Left Front Seat Backrest ] Left Front Seat Backrest

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Remove the lumbar support lever. Refer to => [ Lumbar Adjustment Lever, Jetta from MY 2010 and Golf Wagon from MY 2010 ] Lumbar Adjustment Lever, Jetta from MY 2010 and Golf Wagon from MY 2010

- Remove cover and upholstery from front seat backrest. Refer to => [ Front Seat Backrest Cover and Upholstery ] Front Seat Backrest Cover and Upholstery

- Remove the two bolts - 1 - from the actuator (1.5 +/- 1 Nm).

- Remove the side retainers - 2 - and - 3 - from the backrest frame.

- Remove the side springs.

- Remove the lumbar support - 4 - from the upper mounts - arrows - in the backrest frame.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
