Steering Column Switch, Through 05.10


The removal and installation of individual steering column switch components must be done in a specified sequence. Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch, Through 05.10, Overview ] Steering Column Switch, Through 05.10, Overview.

• After installing a new Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) , it must be coded. Refer to => [ Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527), Through 05.10, Coding ] Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527), Through 05.10, Coding.

• If the steering column switch malfunctions, check the steering column electronic systems control module coding with output diagnostic test mode.

DTC Recognition and Display

Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) is equipped with On Board Diagnostics (OBD) which assists troubleshooting.

For troubleshooting, use Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B) in operating mode "Guided Fault Finding".
