Oil Cooler: Service and Repair
Oil Filter Adapter and Engine Oil Cooler Overview
1 - Gasket
• Always replace.
2 - Bolt
• 15 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
• Always replace.
• First, tighten the upper left and lower right bolts, and then tighten all 4 bolts in a diagonal sequence.
3 - Oil Filter Adapter
• Make sure there is enough space to the surrounding components.
4 - Seal
• Always replace
5 - Connection
• 30 Nm
6 - Oil Supply Line
• 22 Nm
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Turbocharger Oil Supply Line ] Service and Repair.
• To the turbocharger.
7 - Oil Pressure Switch (F1)
• 22 Nm
• Identification: brown
• 0.7 bar
• If the sealing ring is leaking cut it off and replace it.
• Checking, refer to => [ Oil Pressure and Oil Pressure Switch, Checking ] Testing and Inspection.
8 - Cap
• 25 Nm
9 - O-ring
• Always replace.
10 - Oil Filter Element
• Follow the replacement intervals.
11 - Seal
• Always replace.
• Coat with oil before installing.
• Snaps into the tabs of the oil cooler.
12 - Oil Cooler
• Make sure there is enough space to the surrounding components.

• Checking the oil cooler for leaks. Refer to => [ Oil Cooler, Checking for Leaks ] Testing and Inspection.
• Coolant hose connection diagram. Refer to => [ Coolant Hose Connection Diagram ] [1][2]Cooling System.
13 - Seal
• Always replace.
14 - Cover
• 25 Nm
15 - Bolt
• 10 Nm
16 - Bracket
• For the wiring harness.
