Vents, Instrument Panel, Center, Vehicles without Climatronic, Golf from MY 04

• The components in the following illustration are shown removed.

Removing

- Remove lining mat - 1 - from storage compartment.

- Remove the two bolts - 2 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove the storage compartment - 3 - from the air vent - 4 -.

Vehicles with Climatronic

Items - 5 -, - 6 -, - 7 -, - 8 - and - 9 - only apply to vehicles with Climatronic.






• The two bolts - 1 - in this location are already removed on vehicles without Climatronic.

- Place two trim removal wedges (3409) in lower vent seam - arrows - and press vent upward out of instrument panel mounts.

- Press the tabs and disconnect the wiring harnesses from the front passenger airbag emergency lamp switch and indicator lamp.






Installing

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
