Removing
Before beginning the work, clean and seal off all surrounding part.
Wear protective gloves and eye wear when removing the spoiler.
Never use cutting wire to remove the spoiler.
The spoiler must be attached to the vehicle for at least 2 hours before performing any other work.
Perform the following steps:
- Thread the cutting cord - 5 - in between the rear lid - 1 - and the rear lid spoiler - 2 -.
- Cut through the adhesive - 3 - in a "sawing motion" with both pull handles (V.A.G 1351/1) - 4 -.
Installation
• Always use a clean, lint-free towel when cleaning.
• Room and object temperature must be at least + 18 °C.
• The points on the outer panel that are going to be primed must be clean.
• Remove adhesive residue using adhesive removal solution.
• Allow a drying time of approximately 10 minutes.
• When painting the extensions, be careful not get any paint or paint spray on the protective film attachments on the two-sided adhesive tape.
New Attachment, Preparing for Bonding
- Clean the adhesive surface with adhesive remover right before bonding the attachments.
• Adhesion surfaces must be free of dust and grease.
- Prepare the adhesive surface with plastic primer.
- Apply primer 2 evenly in one motion using applicator.
• Drying time is approximately 10 minutes
• Bodywork must be prepared for adhesion.
Preparing bodywork for adhesive
- The PUR adhesive band is cut down to approximately 1 mm without damaging the paint.
- It is not necessary to clean the cutting surface.
• Residual material acts as a base for the new adhesive sealing material.
- Immediately mount the new attachments with the adhesive bead at the specified positions.
Exception: If the bonding is going to be performed longer than one day after cutting back the adhesive bead, then then remaining material must be activated with the activator.
Apply the activator evenly and in one wiping motion using the applicator.
Do not let the activator come in contact with the paint because this will damage the paint.
Drying time is approximately 10 minutes
- Clean the outer panel with adhesive remover just before installing the special attachments. Then carefully remove dirt, grease, wax or other contaminants with plastic cleaner.
• Always use a clean, lint-free towel.
- Install the rear lid spoiler.
Components must be installed within 10 minutes, otherwise bonding properties of adhesive will be impaired.

Minimum Curing Time
Minimum hardening time for newly mounted special attachments is two hours.
Minimum curing time is the time from applying the components up to vehicle use.
During the time, the vehicle must be standing on an even surface and the temperature in the room must be 65°F (18°C).
The vehicle is operationally ready only after the minimum curing time has elapsed.
Adhesive Sealant, Removing from Window
- Using adhesive remover is recommended. Always follow the safety precautions when using adhesive remover.
- Clean the painted surface with a dry cloth and then remove any residue with adhesive remover.
