AdBlue(R) Injector






AdBlue(R) Injector

The Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) reducing agent AUS 32 is known as AdBlue(R).

CAUTION!
The AdBlue(R) can irritate skin, eyes and the respiratory system.

If the fluid comes into contact with skin, rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of water.

Consult a physician if necessary.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

CAUTION!
Protect the connectors, for example with a plastic bag and cable tie, before using AdBlue(R). The electrical connectors could be damaged because the AdBlue(R) has a tendency to seep and it crystallizes as it dries.

- First press the clip on the AdBlue(R) injector (N474) wiring connection in the - direction of arrow 1 - as illustrated and then remove the delivery line - 1 - in the - direction of the arrow 2 - without using tools and without pulling sharply.





- Disconnect the connector - 1 - from the AdBlue(R) injector (N474).





CAUTION!
Seal all openings on the line and the connections immediately with plugs to prevent contaminants from entering. Even tiny particles can cause serious damage to the system.

- Open the clamp - 3 - and remove the AdBlue(R) injector (N474) from the exhaust system.

Installing

- Position the AdBlue(R) injector (N474) with a new sealing washer on the AdBlue(R) catalytic converter and make sure the tabs are positioned correctly. The connector faces upward.

- Lay a new clamp over the connection and press it together until it locks. This secures the AdBlue(R) injector (N474).

- Position the bolt and tighten it to the specification. Refer to - item 3 -=> [ Clamp ] Description and Operation.

- Connect the connector and the delivery line.
