Low Beam Bulb







Low Beam Bulb

Left Low Beam Headlamp (M29) and Right Low Beam Headlamp (M31) can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519). Refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

Procedure to replace Left Low Beam Headlamp (M29) and Right Low Beam Headlamp (M31) is the same.

Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Press wire bracket - 1 - to the side in - direction of arrow - and remove cover cap - 2 -.






- Separate the connector - arrow -.






- Compress and release the spring clip - arrow -.






- Carefully remove Low Beam Lamp.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

When installing cap, ensure proper seating. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

Do not touch the glass of the light bulb, when installing. Your fingers will leave traces of grease on the glass which, when the light is switched on, will evaporate and cloud the glass.

- Insert Low Beam Lamp so that retaining tabs lie in cut-out in reflector.

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check the headlamp adjustment and correct it if necessary. Refer to Maintenance Procedures; Rep. Gr. 03.
