Front Turn Signal Bulb

• Left Front Turn Signal Lamp (M5) and Right Front Turn Signal Lamp (M7) can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519). Refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

• Illustrations depict replacement of Front Turn Signal Light at left headlamp.

• The same procedure is used to remove and install the left front turn signal lamp and right front turn signal lamp.

Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove cover cap - 1 - on top of headlamp housing.






- Disconnect harness connector - 1 -.






- Press grip piece - 1 - in direction of reflector and rotate it in - direction of arrow - with front turn signal lamp.






- Remove grip piece - 1 - with Front Turn Signal Light from reflector.

- Push front turn signal light - 2 - into grip piece - 1 - and rotate front turn signal light - 2 - in - direction of arrow -.






- Remove Front Turn Signal Light - 2 - from grip piece - 1 -.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• When installing cap, ensure proper seating. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

• Do not touch the glass of the light bulb, when installing. Your fingers will leave traces of grease on the glass which, when the light is switched on, will evaporate and cloud the glass.

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check the headlamp adjustment and correct it if necessary. Refer to Maintenance Procedures; Rep. Gr. 03.
