Brake Shoes

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hook (3438)

• Socket XZN 16 (T10198)

Removing

- Remove the wheel.

- Remove the brake pads. Refer to => [ Brake Pads ] Brake Pads.

- Remove the wheel speed sensor wire from the bracket on the brake caliper.

- Remove the brake caliper bolts.

- Remove the brake caliper and secure it with wire so that the weight of the brake caliper does not burden or damage the brake hose.

- Remove the locking bolt - arrow - for parking brake adjustment nut.





Set Back the Parking Brake

- Turn the adjustment nut - A - against the resistance from the pull spring - B -.





- Remove the brake disc.

- Unhook the pull springs.

- Remove the spring dowel sleeves with compression springs and remove the parking brake shoes.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

- Adjust the parking brake. Refer to => [ Parking Brake, Adjusting ] Service and Repair.
