Haldex Clutch Pump (V181)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench 5-60 Nm (V.A.G 1783)

• Drip Tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208)

Removing

- Turn off the ignition.

- Place the drip tray underneath.

- Remove the plug - A - and completely drain the high performance gear oil for Haldex clutch (052 175 A1).






- Install the plug - A - with a new seal and tighten it to 30 Nm.

- Disconnect the pump connector - arrow - from the control module.






- Remove the wiring harness from the housing.

- Place the drip tray under the final drive.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - for the pump.






- Remove the pump - arrow - from the Haldex clutch housing.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal while observing the following:

- Replace the O-rings - 1 and 2 -.






- Lightly lubricate the O-rings - 1 and 2 - with high performance gear oil for Haldex clutch (052 175 A1).

- Push the pump - arrow - all the way into the Haldex clutch housing.






- Tighten the bolts - 1 - to specification.

- Clip the wiring harness to the Haldex clutch securely and connect the connector - arrow - to the control module.






- Add the high performance gear oil for Haldex clutch (052 175 A1) and check the oil level in the Haldex clutch. Refer to => [ Haldex Clutch Oil Level, Checking or Adding ] Haldex Clutch Oil Level, Checking or Adding.
