Rear Side Airbag

• The following describes removing and installing on the right side of the vehicle. Removal and installation for the left-hand side is performed in the same manner.

Removing


Follow all Safety Precautions when working on an airbag. Refer to => [ Airbags Safety Precautions ] Airbags Safety Precautions

- Disconnect the battery.

- Move the right rear seat bench as far forward as possible.

- Remove the rear wheel housing trim (with rear side airbag). Refer to => [ Rear Wheel Housing Trim with Rear Side Airbag ] Rear Wheel Housing Trim with Rear Side Airbag

- Remove all 11 clamping washers - 1 -.






- Loosen the side airbag - 1 - from the trim - 2 -.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.

- When installing, replace all 11 clamping washers - 1 -.






- Turn on the ignition.


Make sure that no persons are in the vehicle.

- Connect the battery.
