Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch (E267)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

The anti-theft alarm system must be deactivated to remove the interior monitoring deactivation switch. Refer to => [ Anti-Theft Alarm System, Activating and Deactivating ] Anti-Theft Alarm System, Activating and Deactivating.

When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

The Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch is located in the B-pillar trim on the driver side.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Carefully pry out the Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch - 1 - using the (VAS 3409) or a screwdriver.






- Release and disconnect the connector - arrow - and remove the switch.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
