Removing






- Remove rear lid trim

- Remove the roof end strip

- Disconnect the electrical connectors in the rear lid- 1 -.

- Unlock the catches - arrows - on the frame - 5 - for the bellows - 6 -.

- Guide the electrical wires- 4 - through the opening in the rear lid.

A second mechanic is required for the rest of the removal procedure.

- Loosen bolts - 3 -, do not unscrew completely.

- Remove gas damper - 2 -. Refer to => [ Gas-filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut

- Remove the bolts - 3 -.

Installation






- Install screws - 3 -.

- Guide the electrical wires - 4 - through the opening in the rear lid - 1 - and connect the frame - 5 - for the boots - 6 -.

- Adjust rear lid and tighten screws - 3 -, tightening specification: 10 Nm.

- Install gas damper - 2 -.
