The crimping pliers without insert (VAS 1978/1), with insert for crimping wires (VAS 1978/2), is part of the wiring harness repair kit (VAS 1978) and is used to crimp the connection during the wiring harness repair.










• Crimping Pliers (Base Tool) (VAS 1978/1-2) in conjunction with exchangeable heads (VAS 1978/1-1) or (VAS 1978/2A) can also be used to crimp the connections as an alternative. Refer to => [ Crimping Pliers VAS 1978/1A ] Crimping Pliers VAS 1978/1A.

• Always be sure to use the correct crimping slot for the crimping connection used.

• Do not crimp wire insulation.
