Driver Side Right Trim






Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim

Driver Side Right Trim

Removal

- Switch off ignition.

- Remove side instrument panel cover on front passenger side. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Side Covers ] Instrument Panel Side Covers

- Remove right trim panel on driver side. Refer to => [ Driver Side Left Trim ] Driver Side Left Trim

Rabbit from MY 2004

- Remove the center cover (Rabbit from MY 2004). Refer to => [ Center Cover, Rabbit from MY 2004 ] Center Cover, Rabbit From My 2004

Rabbit from MY 2009

- Remove the trim in the center of the instrument panel (Rabbit from MY 2009). Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Center Trim, Rabbit from MY 2009 ] Instrument Panel Center Trim, Rabbit From My 2009

- Remove the trim around the A/C and heater controls (Rabbit from MY 2009). Refer to => [ Trim, A/C and Heater Controls Rabbit from MY 2009 ] Trim, A/C and Heater Controls Rabbit From My 2009

- Remove the center cover (Rabbit from MY 2009). Refer to => [ Center Cover, Rabbit from MY 2009 ] Center Cover, Rabbit From My 2009

Vehicles with automatic transmission

- Loosen boot from cover.

Vehicles with manual transmission and Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG)

- Loosen boot from cover.

- Remove the storage compartment or ashtray (Rabbit from MY 2009). Refer to => [ Storage Compartment or Ashtray, Rabbit from MY 2009 ]. Storage Compartment or Ashtray, Rabbit From My 2009

- Remove the cover in the center console. It is not necessary to remove the entire center console.

Highline: => [ Center Console, Highline, Rabbit from MY 2009 ] Center Console, Highline, Rabbit From My 2009

All vehicles

- Remove bolts - 1 -, - 2 -, - 3 - and - 4 - (1.5 Nm).

- Using trim removal wedge (3409), disengage trim panel from mounts.





Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

When installing, bolts must be installed in the sequence - 1 -, - 2 -, - 3 -, and - 4 - (1.5 Nm).
