Removal

- Switch off ignition.

- Remove the trim in the center of the instrument panel (Rabbit from MY 2009). Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Center Trim, Rabbit from MY 2009 ] Instrument Panel Center Trim, Rabbit From My 2009

Vehicles with a storage compartment in the center of the instrument panel

- Remove the radio, if equipped.

- Remove the storage compartment from the center of the instrument panel (Rabbit from MY 2009). Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Center Storage Compartment, Rabbit from MY 2009 ] Instrument Panel Center Storage Compartment, Rabbit From My 2009

Vehicles with a radio/navigation system

- Remove the radio/navigation system.

All vehicles

- Remove the two bolts - 2 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove the four clips - arrows - using the trim removal wedge (3409), and remove the center vent from the instrument panel - 1 -.

- Disconnect the connector on the emergency flasher switch (E3) and remove the center vent.





Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
