Tie Rod Boot: Service and Repair

Tie Rod Boot, Installing

- Check boots for wear (slits, cracks) and check sealing surfaces of boots for dirt.

- Install boots. Rotate tie rod beforehand so that stud of tie rod end stands in installation position.

• Only use original clamps.

- Tighten clamp using hose clamp pliers (V.A.G 1275 ).





- Install power steering gear.
