USB Connection Baseplate (R193)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Radio Removal Tool (3316)

The USB connection baseplate is located inside the center armrest.

Make sure the USB connection baseplate is working correctly if there are customer complaints. Refer to the Operating Instructions.

After connecting the battery, check all the vehicle accessories, for example, the radio, the clock, the Comfort packages. Refer to the Owner's Manual.

Removing

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Fold the center armrest all the way up.

- Remove any memory devices and their wire connections from the USB connection baseplate.

- Insert the (3316) into the slots - arrows - in the USB connection baseplate.





The USB connection baseplate is illustrated as removed for purposes of clarity.

- Expand the (3316) in - direction of arrow - so that locking mechanism can loosen. Using the (3316), remove the USB connection baseplate from the center armrest.





- Disconnect the connector on the USB connection baseplate.

- Press the spring on the USB connection baseplate in - direction of arrow - and at the same time remove the (3316) in - direction of arrow A -.





Installing

- Install the USB connection baseplate into the center armrest so that the USB connection is in the back.

Further installation is in the reverse sequence to removal.
