• Lubricate bearing areas and slide surfaces with grease ( G 000 450 02).

• Removing and installing => [ Removing and Installing Lock Washer ]

• Between shift mechanism housing and underbody

• Self adhering

• Adhered to shift mechanism housing

12 Shift lever

13 Insulation

15 Bearing bushing

16 Bolt, 25 Nm

17 Pivot pin

18 Guide bushing

19 Compression spring

• Installing => [ Installing Pressure Spring ]

20 Selector bracket

21 Torx bolt, 5 Nm

22 Base plate

• Bend up tabs to remove

• Always replace

23 Locking washer

• Always replace

24 Selector lever cable

• On selector elbow

• Installed position => [ Shift Mechanism Installation Position ] Shift Mechanism Installation Position.

25 Shift cable

• Press onto shift lever guide

• Installed position => [ Shift Mechanism Installation Position ] Shift Mechanism Installation Position.

26 Hex nut, 25 Nm

27 Bearing bushing

• Only fits in one position

28 Locking washer

• Always replace

Removing and Installing Lock Washer





- To remove and install lock washer - arrow A -, push spacer bushing - arrow B - to stop using a screwdriver in direction of - arrow C - and pull out lock washer.

• Do not bend bushing while pressing down.

• Mounting slot in shift lever for locking washer must be visible.

• Carefully release tension on spring.

Installing Pressure Spring





- Insert pressure spring so that leg - A - contacts upper part of pin - arrow -.

- Press brace - B - down far enough that it reaches lower part of pin - arrow -.
